The Proposition Part 3 - H.M. Ward

The Proposition 3: The Ferro Family (The Proposition, #3)The Proposition 3: The Ferro Family by H.M. Ward
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I am not sure how I feel about this installment.
I like the relationship between Brian and Hallie when its sweet and you can feel that they love each other. I am a bit confused as to why they broke up I think it had something to do with his family and her background. The blackmail thing is kind of unbelievable but I guess its fiction so I can't expect it to be reality based. A shocking thing happens within the first few chapters that kinda made me go what?? where did that come from but that seems to be how H.M. Ward writes I have read her serials before and she likes the out of left field shock factor. At the end there is another shocker and something that leaves us wondering. Again this is how H.M. Ward like to keep us hanging and wanting more. I like this installment not sure why though and I am looking forward to the next one again not sure why. :)

Phenomenal X - Hard Knocks Book #1 - by Michelle A. Valentine

Phenomenal X (Hard Knocks, #1)Phenomenal X by Michelle A. Valentine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Xavier is a wrestler with a troubled past.

Anna is a good christian girl running away from a father who wants to control her.

Xavier wants Anna and she wants him but they try to keep their relationship in the friends zone.
Events unfold that push these too damaged souls together.
Anna wants to save Xavier from his demons and Xavier wants to protect her at all costs.

I enjoyed this book but to be honest I didn't get to the can't put it down feeling until about 50% into it. The beginning was a little boring, I love Xavier he is hot, sweet and that guy who doesn't know how good he is until he sees himself through the right girls eyes. It just takes awhile for him to start to get there.

Anna fell a bit flat for me in personality but again picked up about 50% through the book I started to like her and root for her.

I was not expecting a cliffhanger ending, was surprising don't know if I liked it but I am curious as to where the author will go from here in book two and how she will close up the story.

I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because I believe the character of Xavier was really well developed and was the major part of why I wanted to know what would happen next. Hopefully in book two Ms. Valentine will give us more of Xavier's point of view.

Broken Pieces Book Two in the Riverdale Series - Teaser

Pieces by Janine Infante Bosco - Teaser

Pieces by Janine Infante Bosco - Review

PiecesPieces by Janine Infante Bosco
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Pieces is a well written first installment in a romance series about two best friends who finally realize they are made for each other.
Jake Lanza and Cara Sloane have been best friends since they were fifteen.
Jake has always considered himself Cara's protector. Most recently he has decided that he wants Cara as more than just a friend.
We are taken on a journey with these two entertaining characters as they explore their new found relationship. Jake is funny and the ultimate prankster, Cara is his adorable sidekick. In the background we get to meet the rest of the Riverdale clan, Luke Jake's older brother and Sam their sister as well as Nick Luke's best friend. The bond they have all shared is fun to read. And there is definitely something brewing between Nick and Sam that makes me want to know what will happen next. I felt like I was part of their group and could picture hanging out at the bar with this fun loving group of people. Jake and Cara face some very emotional issues in this book that really pulled me in and made me care for these people. I look forward to reading what happens in the next installments. Highly recommend.

A Note from Laura:

Hey guys! I am so excited about Easy’s book that I can hardly wait for August to get here! Easy’s character was a total surprise to me. When I initially plotted out the series, there were four surviving members of the Army Special Forces team and therefore I planned for and sold four book in the series. But then, when I sat down to write Hard As It Gets, all of a sudden the story demanded there were actually five guys, and Edward “Easy” Cantrell was born. And I’m so glad! Because Easy’s character is a totally tortured hero, which I adore writing! So I’m super happy that we added his story and this novella into the series, and I can’t wait for you to learn about Easy in Hard to Hold On To!

Is it August yet???

xo, Laura

The Day He Kissed Her - By Juliana Stone

The Day He Kissed Her (Bad Boys of Crystal Lake, #3)The Day He Kissed Her by Juliana Stone

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An emotional journey of love and acceptance.

When we first met Mac in The Summer He Came Home I was in love then.  I knew his book would be
awesome and it was.

Well written, with steamy sex scenes.  There was also an emotional journey that Mac and Lilly took
to be together and it was enthralling.  I could not put this book down.  The abuse that Mac suffered as
a child was heart breaking.  Juliana Stone did a great job of getting into abuse and how it effects children and
families as they become adults.  Lilly and Mac save each other from the moment they meet.  Jake and Cain make
their appearances to help their friends and the male bonding is abundant.  You just can't help but love them.
Mac is sexier than ever.  I wasn't crazy about Lilly in The Christmas He Loved Her because I thought she wanted

Jake and even when I realized she didn't I still couldn't warm up to her.  Then reading her story made me sympathize
with her too.  She became a real person to me.  Someone who had been hurt and betrayed by the people who were
supposed to love her.  She sees the same hurt in Mac and they are drawn together because of it and because he's hot.

I highly recommend this series each book better than the next.  The author mentioned on her Facebook page she
was thinking of continuing the Crystal Lake series I would be all over that.

Unexpected Forever - Heidi McLaughlin

My Unexpected Forever (The Beaumont Series, #2)My Unexpected Forever by Heidi McLaughlin

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Loved this installment, really sweet story had me crying, laughing and really rooting for the main couple.

It was better than the first installment which I really like but I loved this one. :)

Only problem I had was that it was a little long, felt like it could have ended a few chapters earlier.

Love, Lex (The Undergrad Years, #1)Love, Lex by Avery Aster

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Absolutely loved this book.

It was fun to read.

Gave some real insight to how these girls and Blake became so close.

The drama was crazy, setting the penthouse on fire ha!

The sex was hot and the friendship between the girls and Blake always fun to read.

Avery Aster makes you feel like a part of this quirky group her writing just pulls me into the crazy.

I still think this whole series needs to be a cable TV show :) I would totally watch.

The Rocker Babies - By Terri Anne Browning

The Rockers' Babies (The Rocker, #6)The Rockers' Babies by Terri Anne Browning

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a fabulous way to end this part of The Rocker Series.
Terri Anne Browning really knows how to make us fall in love with her characters.

I have absolutely loved everyone one of these books in The Rocker Series and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys hot sexy rock stars and the women who love them.

Terri tied up everything nicely in this book for each couple while giving us glimpses into the next story The Rocker Who Wants Me Axton and Dallas story. Can't wait for that. She also gave use small pieces of the rest of OtherWorld hotties.

I am sad to see these guys and girls go but I know they will pop up again in the other books even if only for a little while.

Thanks for another truly enjoyable read.
