This is the first book in the Lawless Series and once again Lexi Blake hits it out of the park. I was entralled iwth the characters from the first chapter. Ellie has been through a lot in her life a neglected childhood and then working her way up the ranks in her fathers company she never had time for love. Then lawyer Riley walks into her office and turns her orderly world upside down. He literally takes over and in away Ellie realizes she needs that someone on her side someone to take care of her. But is it real?
Riley wants to avenge his parents' deaths but he never expected to fall for the beautiful Ellie. When he does he falls hard. I loved Riley, he was all alpha male and take charge just what Ellie needed. Ellie thinks she can't trust anyone around her even her friend Lily and especially her half sister. Riley makes himself her go to guy, until he betrays her trust OMG that was tough to swallow but as always Lexi Blake gives us twists, and turns that shock and amaze. The Lawless siblings were so fun to read as well, their love and loyalty to each other was so real. I also like the character of Hatch would love to know more of his back story.
I could not put this book down and I am so excited for the next books in the series. Brandon's story is going to be awesome a teddy bear with a dark side!
If you like your romance with suspense and lots of drama this is the book for you.
