My Review:
Oh, my I cannot say enough about this book. Let me start with hot, dirty sex in all kinds of places. This is not what I have grown to expect from J.C. Valentine. I have read a few of her books and this one goes in a completely different direction. The male character is a mystery from the beginning to the end, even when a huge twist is revealed in the cliffhanger we still don’t know what he his deal is. Yes, there is a cliffhanger and it's okay because J.C. Valentine warns us from the beginning this is a three part series so we have to expect a cliffhanger. Did I expect this one, Hell NO! I did not! Holy cow, what a crazy story this turned out to be!
Josephine has issues no question, she loses her mother at a young age to cancer her father falls apart after and Joe is left to take care of him until his death when she is eighteen. Not a great life so far for our heroine, so it's not surprising that her life choices are a little off. She’s a stripper, and in her profession, she meets all kinds of men. One day one of them propositions her and she starts on a sexual adventure that blows her mind. Secrets come to light, hearts are broken and confused. I don’t want to give away too much of the story because I absolutely hate spoilers. Therefore, I will say this is a very well written story that kept my attention from the very first dance and continued to keep it until the last. The sex scenes are steamy, sensual, and sometimes emotional. The male character is an arrogant jerk sometimes and a sort of decent guy the next, but the mystery he projects makes us care about who he is or could be. Josephine has a lot to work out by the end of this first installment and I can’t wait to find out where the author will take us.
