Michael Valente...
My father was the Underboss of an organized crime family. He was murdered when I was a teenager leaving me broken. My mother died in a tragic accident, her death annihilated me. My life was in shambles until Victor Pastore, one of New York’s most notorious gangsters and my late father’s best friend, recruited me to work for him.
Everyone expected me to walk in my father’s shadow, to be the prodigal son, the next big thing to hit the mob. I was torn between filling those expectations and walking the straight line my mother wished I had. Nothing made sense and I felt as if I was just passing through life.
The only beacon of light in my otherwise dark world was the one girl that was off limits to me. The one girl who could bring me to my knees consuming my mind, body and soul.
She’s the sweetest temptation I’ve ever known and the most illicit.

Nikki Pastore....
My father’s a gangster. My boyfriend’s is the king of New York’s nightclubs. I am often labeled as Vic’s daughter or Rico’s girl, never just Nikki. I struggle for people to acknowledge me for the woman I am and not for the men in my life. I’m fighting a losing battle.
There is only one person who sees me for me, my Mikey.
He’s wild.
He’s reckless.
He’s hot as hell.
He’s completely unattainable, but oh so tempting.

Michael Valente has no direction. In his life, he has known many heartbreaks and tragedies. He lost his father to mob violence when he was just a teen. His mother immediately moved him away from the only home and friends he had ever known to keep him away from the bad element that killed his father.
Now years later he has to bury his mother after she dies in a tragic car accident. Feeling lost and alone he decides to stay in the old neighborhood.

Victor Pastore his father’s best friend and the man his father took a bullet for vows to be there for Mike like he should have been all those years ago.
Mike realizes it’s not Victor he wants to build a relationship with but his younger daughter Nikki Pastore. When Mike moved away, Nikki was a little girl with pigtails, braces and a sweet smile he could never forget.

Nikki is not the little tag along Mike remembers. She is a woman with a body he can’t stop dreaming about taking. Grown up Nikki is gorgeous but she’s off limits besides he has nothing to offer her no job and no future. He is a screw up and Nikki deserves so much better.

Illicit Temptations is not just a mafia romance. There is a lot of emotion, angst and plenty of sexual tension to go along with mafia family theme. Janine carries us with the characters as they grow and change throughout the book. Told in alternating points of view, Mike and Nikki talk about how growing up in a mafia family isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Mike wants to be a better man than his father was but he doesn’t think he has it in him. Nikki makes him want more out of life she helps him see the possibility of a future.

There were so many facets to this book, love, drama, and laughter. When Mikey and Nikki go on the run you can expect things to heat up between them fast. Even Nikki’s Aunt Gina is hot for Mikey and of course, we can’t forget Nikki’s gun-toting grandma she was a hoot. The comic relief was a great addition to the story.

Victor Pastore, the patriarch or godfather if you will of the family has had many great successes in his business career but he has also had many failures in his family life. One of his biggest regrets is not being there for his best friend’s son after he gave up his life to save Victor’s. There is a very poignant moment between Mike and Victor that completely tugs at your heart.
Adrianna, Nikki’s sister and Mikey’s childhood friend Anthony had me hooked on wanting their story from the beginning. Something big happened there and I am looking forward to reading it in Forbidden Temptations.

As I have grown to expect from Janine this is a great well-written story that keeps your attention from the prologue that starts off with a bang to the epilogue that leave you wanting more of these amazing characters . This tale has romance, a little mob suspense and just the right amount of zing to keep you glued to the page. The phone sex scene will blow you away. Even though it is a series, this book you can read as a standalone. Anthony and Adrianna’s story is next and I for one can’t wait to find out how things end up for these to souls destined to be together.

Anthony Bianci
Since I was a kid all I ever wanted to be was a gangster. I wanted to be feared, to be respected, and for everyone to know my name.
And then she came into my life.
I never planned on falling in love with the mob boss’ daughter. She was forbidden but somehow she became mine. She made me crave things I didn’t even know existed and made me forget about the things I thought I wanted. My quest for power faded away and was replaced by my undying love for her.
Until reality bit me in the ass and I was sent to prison for three years, doing time for a crime I didn’t commit.
Now I’m out and she is creating a life for herself, just like I always wanted for her. Only I’m not a part of that life. I won’t ruin her any more than I already have with my poisonous lifestyle.
No matter how tempted I am.

Adrianna Pastore
I wanted him from the very first time I laid eyes on him.
He was everything to me, my first love and probably my last.
Then my father ruined our perfect little life, and he walked away from me.
I tried to fight for him, for our love, but he pushed me away.
When the love you crave is beautiful, yet forbidden, you can’t help being tempted.
So I’ll fight for him. For us.
Even if I’m the only one fighting.

For as long as he remembered all Anthony Bianci ever wanted was to belong. He wanted to be a part of something that mattered. In his young mind, nothing would be more thrilling than working for the legendary mobsters in his Brooklyn neighborhood. By the time, Anthony was twenty years old he thought he was on his way up the ranks in the Pastore family. Then he came face to face with the one person who changed it all— the mobster’s daughter Adrianna Pastore.

She was off limits, too young for him, too innocent; he wasn’t good enough for her. Too bad, he couldn’t convince Adrianna to stay away, she was a persistent little thing, and that’s what he grew to love about her the most. Their young love burned hot and furious. Victor Pastore extinguished that love. His quest for revenge proved to be more important than his daughter’s happiness.

Anthony is sent to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. He loses the love of his life, the only family he ever wanted, all thanks to the man he thought he wanted to be just like. Has he lost too much? Is it too late for a second chance at a real life with the woman of his dreams? Can Adrianna’s undying love save him from himself?

Anthony and Adrianna’s story drew me in from the first time I read about them in book one of the Tempted Series Illicit Temptations. Janine gives us small glimpses of the struggle these two lovers go through. I was excited to read their love story as it unfolds. I loved the past and present movement of the story as it goes back to how they first fell in love. How they lost it all in the blink of an eye and how they fight in the present to get it all back.

“Shut up,” I growl, taking her chin in my hand and forcing her to stare straight into my eyes. “You’ll always be mine even when you’re temporarily someone else’s.”

Everything about Anthony screams alpha male, sexiness. I loved his dirty mouth and his tough guy attitude. He could be sensual with Adrianna, a loving brother to his sister and a respectful son with his mother. Though he played the self-confident mob enforcer, he was a damaged soul and only Adrianna’s love had the power to pull him back from the edge.

Adrianna is a female character that you can relate too. She has endure so much heartbreak in her young life. Her fighting spirit never diminished in the face of incredible losses. She is determined to make Anthony realize he can be more than a criminal. Her strength was inspiring.

“He stared at me for a moment before tightening his hold on both me and my baby, hanging on as if he’d never let go.”

Janine’s storytelling is so authentic, her stories unique and engaging capturing you from the first words of the book.

“I had eight months and six days left of sleeping on this piece of shit bunk bed, in this piece of shit jail cell with an annoying little fuck for a cellmate. To say my life had turned to shit was an understatement.”

Anthony and Adrianna could easily be a couple in the real world. The realities of the obstacles they face to be together are overwhelming and emotional to say the least. The secondary characters have a life of their own as well. The friendship that builds between Jack Parrish and Anthony was fun to read I enjoyed their little “bromance”.

I am sure we can expect beautiful stories from a writer who has a knack for bringing real life into every word she writes.

Jack “Bulldog” Parrish
Crazy: Mentally deranged, especially as manifested in a wild or aggressive way.I was thirteen when I discovered the definition of the word I’d forever be labeled.
Some used it as a figure of speech but for me it was a scar I’d carry through life.
Or so I believed until I was diagnosed a manic depressive.
I’m the president of the Satan’s Knights Motorcycle Club, a man of power and control.
A man with enemies near and far.
But the truth, my truth, is my biggest enemy— my mind and I live most of my life with no control whatsoever.
I’m just a man who battles his demons, a man destined to live a life full of darkness.
Until her.
She’s the light beckoning me, calling me home, away from the torment.
In a world as dark as the one I live in, sometimes I can’t help but crave Sunshine.

Reina DeCarlo
I was lost, broken and a prisoner of my scars.
A shell of the woman I used to be, who didn’t know the difference between living and merely existing.
Until a stranger found me, fixed and freed me. He breathed life into my soul, reminding me I was a survivor and still had life to live.
My savior is a biker.
A man tortured by his own scars. A man broken like me, maybe even a little lost too.
I want to be his remedy.
I want to heal him.
I want to return the favor and be his savior.
This is our story, a story neither of us knew how to write until we found each other.

Jack “Bulldog” Parrish has suffered great tragedy in his life. It’s made him a hard man with demons he has only just learned how to control. But not without cost. He is a man bent on revenge willing to do anything to take down the man who murdered his brother. Even cozying up to the girlfriend his brother left behind. Jack just didn’t plan on being blinded by the sunshine she brings into his life or the craving he has to keep her for himself.
Reina DeCarlo is lost broken woman with physical and emotional scars. She survived the murder of her boyfriend and the fire that almost took her life. Since then she has just been existing hiding from the world. The pain of her loss and the scars she bares are too much for her to live with. Then one day a sexy biker comes into the diner she works at and he becomes a permanent fixture at the counter. Reina finds herself inexplicably drawn to his presence, surprisingly anticipating his return each night. One day they strike up a conversation after weeks of pleasantries. In that moment, Reina’s life becomes a whirlwind of emotions and self-discovery. The unlikely hero becomes the only man who can save her from her past and help her see a bright future.
Will Jack’s vengeance cost them both the happiness they crave or can he save her from the enemies that seek to destroy everything he holds dear.

Jack and Reina’s story is one of fear and loss, heartbreak and finding yourself after tragedy. This is a couple who had an undeniable connection from their first meeting. They needed each other to heal so they could put their individual demons to rest. Jack makes Reina see her worth and looks passed her physical scars, breaking down her emotional barriers. While Reina adds much needed light to Jack’s darkness. He has suffered terrible loss at the hands of his maker his mind. Being an undiagnosed manic depressive cost Jack his young son and he has never been able to forgive himself. Reina helps him see it wasn’t his fault and he can mourn his son.

The author does a fantastic job of depicting manic depression. Jack has it under control with his medication but sometimes we get a glimpse of the darkness he buries deep. The scene of Reina pulling Jack back from the edge on his son’s birthday broke my heart and had me sobbing till the last words in the chapter. The sexual chemistry for these two was off the charts, their first sexual encounter hard, fast and steamy. I enjoyed the comradery of Jack and his club brothers, a true bond. I also really loved Jack’s relationship with his daughter Lacey.

Along with the emotional issues this couple faces there is danger lurking as Jack tries to avenge his brother’s death. All of it well written and had me on the edge of my seat anticipating what would happen next.

This is the third book in the series but they can all be read as standalone though I recommend reading all of them. It is a unique series, with flawed characters with realistic problems.

Riggs
Heart.
It’s what keeps you from being reckless. It’s what keeps you breathing.
Money, power and respect… they were my god given right, not the reason I joined the Satan’s Knights. I tied myself to my club and nothing else. Give me my bike, the open road and a different woman every night and I was happy.
My life was great.
Until the chaos exploded.
One night.
One reckless temptation and I finally found my reason for breathing.
I never saw her coming. The girl that would turn my world upside down and give me my heart.
Only it was too late.
One mistake can take it all away.
I’m about to lose my heart.
The thing that keeps me breathing.
The thing that keeps me from being reckless.

Lauren Bianci
Drop out of nursing school? Check.
Have no idea what you’re going to do with your life? Check.
Disappoint your family? Double check.
Meet a biker and have crazy sex against a wall? Check. Check. Check.
Get knocked up by said biker? Check.
I was always the good girl, the prodigal child, the girl who said and did all the right things.
Things like this didn’t happen to me.
Until him.
Until he smiled.
Until he tempted me to find out what made me happy.
Too bad it’s him.
We’ll never work, but, I can pretend can’t I?
Just for a little while.
Just until it’s over.

Riggs joined the Satan’s Knights expecting to find danger, excitement and a brotherhood he could depend on. Turns out he got that and something more—he found his heart.

Lauren Bianci was a girl who thought she had it all planned out. Graduate from nursing school, marry a nice stable guy and have a couple of kids—a nice normal life. She finds out sometimes plans change especially when you decide to take the detour.

This is book four in the Tempted series and can be read as stand alone. I however highly recommend the entire series. For me this installment ended up being my favorite. Though I was excited to hear more about Blackie’s “Leather and Lace” but when I sat down and really got into Riggs and Lauren’s story I could not put it down.

These two people were so obviously made for each other. Riggs with his comic wit and dirty mouth, and Lauren she gives it right back to him with her own humor and sassy attitude.

When Lauren and Riggs aka Kitten and Tiger—share a hot night of passion the consequences of their reckless decision come barreling at them. Lauren is pregnant and suddenly their lives are thrown together in a whirlwind of crazy sex and lifetime changing decisions. I loved reading as Riggs tried hard to become the father he never had. Lauren decided plans be damned she was going to relax and see where Riggs and his loony ways took her. It was a wild ride but not without its drama and heartbreak.

There are parts in this book that will make you laugh out loud, and some seriously sexy times. My favorite parts are the ones when you really feel the love these two characters begin to share for their little family. Silly times together that turn sexy real fast thanks to Riggs and his hotness. So many moments tug at your heart like when Riggs buys Lauren socks because her feet are always cold—he has no idea how that one little gesture made her fall for him even more.

I don’t like giving too much away but Riggs as an alpha male character has so many layers, from his sense of humor, his mouth that has no filter, to his tender side and don’t even get me started on his badass biker side. He is a protector of those he loves and he will stop at nothing to keep Lauren and his baby safe even if it means may be letting them go.

Lauren is a tough chick that you want in your corner when s**t goes down. She is smart, fierce and loyal just the kind of girl Riggs needs to keep him from being reckless.

The writing was spectacular, the story full of love, sex, twists and turns that will keep you on your toes waiting for what you can’t possibly predict will happen next. The last few chapters will have you in tears keep those tissues handy.

If you have not read any of the books in this series and want something that spins a tale of love, laughter, family, brotherhood and action this is the series for you.

Blackie
My name is Blackie, I’m the vice president of the Satan’s Knights MC and I’m an addict.
I’ve been trading one addiction for another for as long as I can remember.
I make no apologies for my addictions, nor do I try to hide them.
Until my latest addiction threatens to destroy not just me but her.
For the first time I want to fight the need and not gravitate towards it. I try to deny it and not succumb to it but I’m a prisoner to her purity.
I’m Satan’s soldier, a demon dressed in leather.
She’s an angel, innocent and full of light, she’s my lace.
Leather.
Lace.
Me.
Her.
A temptation so lethal neither of us may survive but, every demon craves an angel.
Guide me to the light.
Take me from the dark.
Give me back my life.
Let me share yours.
They are the selfish words of an addict and they are my truth.

Lacey Parrish
My name is Lacey Parrish and I have a secret, one I’ve tried to deny for a long time, one I’ve tried to spare the world from.
I am a manic-depressive.
Just like my dad.
Some days I’m high on life.
Most days I try to escape it.
People think they know me, they think they see me but the truth is no one knows who I really am. No one sees the real me… a broken girl with a mind that betrays her.
Except Blackie.
He’s my savior, the man who silences my maker.
He’s my knight in shining armor, the man who puts my life before his.
He’s my leather and I’m his lace.

Two broken souls that have the power to heal one another.
This is our story, an unapologetic tale full of temptations.
A love story called Leather and Lace.

Dominic “Blackie” Petra is an addict. If he isn’t pounding shots of whiskey he’s pushing heroin into his veins. He self-medicates to douse the pain of losing his wife and for all the other bad decisions he’s made in his sorry life. All he has is his club and a vow he made to always protect the girl who puts light back into his darkness.

Lacey Parrish has a secret no one knows—she hides it behind a mask of smiles and light. Lacey is a manic depressive just like her dad. Blackie is the only person who sees her, he is her savior and her knight. She has loved Blackie for as long as she can remember. Can she convince him that their love is worth a chance? Will they both succumb to their demons or will they have the strength to fight them together?

This is book five in the Tempted series the story of two broken people who are an unlikely match yet destined to be together. The mentally ill girl and the drug addict form a bond that no one can sever. Their love story is powerful, emotional and full of surprises. Those who have been following the series have anxiously anticipated Black and Lacey’s story since Uncontrollable. Ms. Bosco could have given us their story sooner but both characters had to go through some life altering experiences before they got their re-write. I don’t think Janine could have written their story any better. She tackles the sensitive subject of mental illness and drug abuse both very serious issue found in society today but all too often not spoken about. She handled them with depth and care.

The authors attention to detail is beyond compare, I felt like I was sitting next to Blackie when he shoots forcing himself deeper into despair.  Lacey is a strong female character who carries the burden of a huge on her shoulders. When she finally admits to her father Jack that she is bipolar I could not stop the tears from falling. Those moments were precious and extremely well written.  The guilt that both Blackie and Lacey feel is real and raw.

This story is not without romance and steamy sex scenes. Blackie and Lacey explore their sexual attraction and take us along for the sensual ride. The drama surrounding their love story unfolds and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Janine Infante Bosco never fails to deliver a well-developed story with characters you can’t help but fall in love with. In this installment we see all of our favorites in the series from Jack as the anguished father having to face his daughter’s diagnosis to the rest of the Satan’s Knights—Riggs, Pipe and how can we forget Wolf. One of my favorite light hearted scenes was the dinner at Jack’s house it is sure to put a smile on your face and make you laugh out loud.

I am in love with these characters and I can’t wait for the final book in the series Eternal Temptations which will cover all the couples. I am sure Janine has some great story surrounding these couples that will keep us wanting more.

You’ve seen them through their most illicit temptations.
Guided them through their forbidden temptations.
Stuck with them through their uncontrollable temptations.
Owned their reckless temptations.
And survived their lethal temptations.
Five couples.
One threat.
Who will survive the eternal temptation?
Just when the men of the Pastore crime family and the brothers of the Satan’s Knights MC, think they can rest easy—a danger no one saw coming threatens to destroy everyone’s perfect life.
The men of the mob are resurrected and the boys in leather are back.
It’s time for one final ride
And for you to ask yourself one last time…
Are you tempted?

NOTE: This can be read as a stand alone.

This is the final book in the Tempted Series and I have to say Janine did a fabulous job of tying up the stories for each couple. The story is told from the POV of six different couples in the series. We are treated to the love of a life time Victor and Grace as they say goodbye for the last time when Victor makes the ultimate sacrifice taking on his most dangerous enemy. Blackie and Lacey are back battling their demons together as it is a daily struggle for the recovery addict and the manic depressive. But they have realized quickly they are stronger together. Jack gets Reina to commit to a wedding date as they await the arrival of their child they plan their big day. Unfortunately, an unforeseen enemy brings danger to the Satan’s Knights and the Pastore Family that Jack never saw coming. Riggs and Lauren or should I say Tiger and Kitten are having a blast raising their rambunctious toddler Eric. When Riggs’ snooty parents are thrown into their lives there are sure to be some serious chaos and a whole lot of heart. Anthony and Adrianna struggle to find balance within their little family. The mob has been a part of their lives for as long as they can remember. They discover there is a fine line between the mob and the life they have created for themselves. Mike and Nikki face a medical scare that could tear them apart but in the end only makes their love stronger.

All of this and more is included in this wonderful book, separated into two parts fittingly titled ‘The Last Hit’ and ‘The Final Ride’. As always Janine gives a lots of action and drama with a generous dose of steamy sex. These couples are so well written that each chapter read draws you into the lives of these terrific characters. I could not put the book down. Janine writes from the heart and definitely owns it.

I recommend the entire series but all the books in the series including this last one can be read as standalone books. Though this is the end of the road for the Tempted Series the bonus epilogue promises we have not seen the last of these fantastic character. Looking forward to The Nomad Series, bring on Stryker.

Illicit Temptation (Tempted Series #1)

“Happy Birthday Princess.” My Mikey whispered before he turned me around to face him. His smile hypnotized me, making me forget everything all I could concentrate on was him and the way he looked at me. His heated stare robbed me of my ability to speak, invaded my thoughts, and took my breath away. One glance at him dressed in that suit his eyes full of desire as they scanned my body completely inebriated me.

He reached out his fingertips grazing my cheek.

“God you’re so fucking beautiful.” He whispered, leaning his forehead against mine. He was so close his breath mingled with my own soft pants. I lifted my hand closing my fingers around his wrist. His hand stilled against my cheek and he let out an agonized groan.

“I’ve been watching you all night waiting to get you alone. I’m going to kiss you Nikki. I’m going to put my mouth on yours and show you what it’s like to really be kissed. I will make you forget about any other kiss you’ve ever had so you’ll only remember mine. I’m going to own that pretty little mouth of yours.”

A gasp escaped my lips as his groin brushed against my leg he leaned closer, pressing his hardened cock against my thigh.

I was paralyzed watching the slow smile spread across his tantalizing mouth and then his lips brushed against mine.

“Get ready Princess, there’s no turning back.” He whispered, his voice full of promise before his mouth claimed mine.

His lips fused with mine working them, tasting them sucking them between his. His tongue slid along the seam of my lips begging for entry into my mouth. My lips slowly parted inviting him to devour my mouth as I dreamed countless times that he would. His tongue slipped between my bruised lips invading my waiting mouth. Holy Christ! Our tongues met and there were fireworks honest to god I heard fireworks go off in my ears.

Mikey pulled away from me abruptly dropping his hand from my face. I opened my eyes startled at the sudden change, but before I could gauge his reaction or understand why he had ended our kiss, I heard someone scream out.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

“Get down!” He shouted at me, reaching behind his back, he pulled out his gun. My eyes widened as I stood still unable to move. “Nikki get down!” He ordered as he raised his gun aiming it behind me.

I could hear screaming coming from every direction. Mikey’s voice became muffled, and all I heard were those damn fireworks again, only they weren’t fireworks they were actual gunshots. It hit me at that moment, everything I overheard upstairs flashed through my mind shouting at me that I should’ve warned someone. I should’ve warned my father, oh god my family was in there! I slowly turned around prepared to run to my family when I was thrown to the floor. Mikey’s body fell on top of mine acting as a shield.

I felt a tear slide down my cheek as I closed my eyes and listened to the blazing sound of the gunfire.

Forbidden Temptation (Tempted Series #2)

“Take your clothes off,” I ordered, before I turned away from her and bent down to twist the knobs on the bath tub and drew her a warm bath. I reached underneath the sink and grabbed a box of Epsom salt to add to the tub. Once the tub was full, I turned around and found her leaning against the bathroom door naked, a gleam in her eye. She padded towards me, her eyes never leaving mine as she dipped one foot into the tub and then the next.

She slowly sank into the tub, wincing as her body folded into it, all aches and pains from her work out yesterday. The water was crystal clear and my eyes couldn’t help but watch as she straightened her legs in the water slowly. She was settled into the tub, as comfortable as she would get, before she lifted her eyes back to mine. Her breasts sitting just above water level.

“Soak in there for about forty minutes,” I said gruffly, her nipples hardening under my stare.

“Don’t leave.” She whispered.

“Five minutes ago you were punching me now you want me to stay?” I asked, as she completely stripped me of my resistance and pulled the clip out of her hair, letting the brown waves fall around her shoulders just shy of covering her tits.

“You make it sound like it’s something new with us,” she questioned cocking her head to the side, pausing for a moment before she softly continued. “No one plays this game better than you and I. I push, you pull, I push a little harder, you give in and then it’s your turn to push and you keep pushing until you think I’m done pushing you back,” she continued shrugging her shoulders as she spoke. “And then we start all over again.”

I gave in just like she knew I would and put the toilet seat down, sat down and rubbed my hands over my face.

“We’re pretty predictable.”

“Yeah,” she whispered, slipping further under the water her hands were all over her own body, making me fucking jealous that they weren’t mine. “You always give in eventually,” she persisted before pausing for a beat. “Even back then when I was just a girl, you still gave into me, how come?”

“You’re easy on the eyes,” I explained, winking at her then straightening up and staring into her eyes.

“Yeah but I was younger than you, so much less experienced than you … I often wondered why you even bothered.”

“You’re confident,” I started. “Whether you were younger or less experienced never mattered because I knew a confident woman could be taught all the things she wasn’t experienced in. You weren’t insecure which made you easy to mold, easy for you to learn all the things you hadn’t yet tried.”

She laughed slightly. “So you’re taking credit for how good I am in bed?”

“Abso-fucking-lutely,” I grinned.

“I suppose you may have taught me a thing or two,” she countered, her hand traveling between her breasts, down her stomach and pausing right at her navel.

“Like what?” I asked, knowing I was a goner.

Uncontrollable Temptation (Tempted Series #3)

I’ll give you what you need as long as you keep giving me your sunshine.

She went off like a firecracker, her body igniting and convulsing as she found her light. The sweetest pussy I ever had, gripped me as she came all over my dick. My eyes rolled, and I pushed my hips and thrust my dick into her once, twice…then shouted her name as I pulled out just in time. My release spurting out, painting her exposed skin.

Covered in Parrish, branded by the Bulldog, Reina became my sunshine.

We were both fucked.

I stared at her long and hard as I pulled my jeans up, zipping the fly but not doing the button to give my swollen dick some relief. Her legs dropped off the table, and she bent over struggling with her jeans, looking at everything and anything other than me.

“Reina,” I started.

She reached for a dishtowel, wiping me from her before she pulled her pants up her legs. She turned around, her eyes blazing with fury and threw the dishtowel at me

“You can leave now,” she said.

And there she went dismissing me again.

“Guess I was wrong ‘bout you,” I spat, baiting her, hoping to get her to turn around and look me in the eye. But I failed. Staring at her back angered me even more than the silence she offered me. “My dick ain’t straight-laced, and that pussy was still dripping.” I bit out, using my words as my weapon.

Her head bowed, her shoulders slumped and still she didn’t turn around to look at me.

Shunted, I cursed Reina and stalked out of her apartment, slamming the door behind me.

I shouldn’t be bothered. I got what I came here for. I got my taste of sunshine.

Reckless Temptation (Tempted Series #4)

Lauren rolled her eyes and turned to leave. I wasn’t going to let her go anywhere. I reached for her and caught her wrist, stopping her from leaving.

“Going somewhere?”

“Yeah, home,” she sneered, tugging her arm free. I’d never seen her like this, so angry, so fucking hot. She turned toward Blackie, took his drink from his hand and threw the whiskey in my face before handing the empty glass back to him.

“Congratulations, you’re a dick with a patch,” she said, before turning and walking toward the door.

I sputtered whiskey from my mouth, lifting the hem of my t-shirt to dry my face, trying to ignore the surrounding chuckles.

“You better marry her because if you don’t I will,” Bones said, as he came up beside me and handed me a stack of napkins.

“Fuck off,” I shouted, throwing the napkins up in the air like confetti before I took off after her. “Lauren,” I shouted as I stepped outside. Scanning the grounds, I found her stalking through the parking lot.

I ran after her but Kitten had speed even in those heels she had on that threatened to take her down.

“Lauren, baby…Kitten,” I called.

She froze in her tracks and turned around.

Hallelujah!

Oh, shit!

She bent down, removing one of her high heels and swung it like a Cy-Young pitcher, aiming straight for my head.

“Are you fucking crazy?” I shouted, dodging death by a high heel.

“Oh, you think I’m crazy?” She asked incredulously, looking every bit crazy. No question about it. “Maybe I am crazy! I mean, I must be because I’m here, right? Standing here in my little black dress, against my better judgement, because well, tonight was a big night for you and I…” she let her words trail off. “…I am crazy,” she confirmed, shaking her head in disbelief.

“Kitten,” I started, reaching for her.

She flicked my forehead with her fingers.

“Ouch! What the hell did you do that for?” I shouted, rubbing my forehead.

“There is plenty more where that came from, buddy!” She threatened, as she poked my chest with her finger. I had had enough of this shit. I grabbed her hips, hauling her up against me and maneuvered her legs to wrap around my waist. She didn’t like that at all and yelped as I held her in place.

“Riggs, put me down,” she yelled.

“You don’t really want me to put you down,” I ground out. My patience was gone, my nerves frayed. She kicked my back and I pinched her leg as I turned and slammed her up against the wall of the Dog Pound.

“Came here for a reason, Kitten, now it’s time to tell me what that reason is,” I whispered against her ear.

“It doesn’t matter,” she squealed, as I ran my hands up her thighs.

“I disagree,” I argued, glancing down at her legs locked around my waist. “I like your dress,” I said, sliding my hands underneath it.

“You should,” she sneered, wrapping her arms around my neck. “I wore it for you,” she rasped.

Sweetest fucking words I ever heard.

Lethal Temptation (Tempted Series #5)

“Keep your hands behind you,” I instructed as my lips made their way to the swell of one of her breasts. I heard the sharp intake of breath she took, my mouth stilled but remained on her breast as I glanced up at her. “Behind you,” I repeated.

Once I was sure she wouldn’t move I brought my hands back around and cupped her perky tits. I flicked my thumb over one nipple as my mouth closed over the other, sucking slightly before my teeth grazed the tip. I pinched the other one, rolling the bud between my fingers. I changed tactics allowing my mouth to suck on one as my fingers twisted the other.

Pleasure and pain.

You’re going to learn how the two become one, girl.

The sounds that she made drove me wild and had all the blood rushing to my dick. A slow burn began to sizzle between us, her arousal igniting my own, forcing me to pull away from her and take a moment to nuzzle the valley between her breasts.

I had to remind myself that this was a rewrite, a chance to teach her sex was more than just eight inches of penetration. It’s your mind surrendering and your body following suit.

Lose your mind, girl.

Lose yourself.

Let go.

She bent her knees, taking my face in her hands and tilted my head back before her lips descended upon mine. She kissed me, slowly, taking her time, discovering what she liked and what she wanted more of. Her teeth nipped my lips and then she paused, opening her eyes, looking at me for approval.

“Don’t be afraid,” I rasped. “Do what you want with me, use my body to learn what works for you, take what you need, Lace,” I assured, wrapping my arms around her waist and dropping my hands to her ass. I grabbed her ass and lifted her up. She wrapped her legs around me, locking them at the ankles as I walked her towards the kitchen and positioned her on top of the counter. I hooked my thumbs in the flimsy lace of her panties and dragged them down her legs. I closed my fist around the lace, tucking them into the back pocket of my jeans.

“Aren’t you going to take your clothes off,” she asked, breathlessly as her legs dangled off the side of the counter.

I shook my head, stepping toward her, and placed my hands on her knees.

“Open for me,” I coaxed, watching as she gripped the edge of the counter and bit down on her lip before she slowly parted her legs.

Heaven.

Eternal Temptation (Tempted Series #6)

It was the early eighties, Maryann and I were barely legal but that didn’t stop us from painting the town red. I had a part-time job at Rosalie’s bakery, making just enough money to spend my paycheck—that’s a lie. I never received a paycheck, those days we were paid in cash, sixty dollars stuffed in a white envelope that Rosalie scribbled my name on. It was enough cash for me to buy a brand new outfit every Friday. I would take my envelope, cross three avenues and make my way to Something Else boutique on 86th Street.

I teased my hair six inches to the sky, applied enough blue eyeshadow to my eyelids, you had no choice but to notice my almond shaped eyes. Lastly, I ripped the tags and put on my silk turquoise jumpsuit. Maryann stole her father’s car out of the garage and picked me up at exactly ten o’clock. Studio 54 was packed, the line to get inside the club wrapped around the block but Maryann grabbed my hand and walked us straight to the front of the line.

“I’m a friend of Val’s,” she told the bouncer guarding the door.

At the time, I only knew Val as one of the neighborhood guys. He, like most of the guys our age living in Bensonhurst, hung around with the old-timers, the made-men, goodfellas—you know the type of men I’m talking about. Gangsters.

I didn’t know if Val was in fact a made man or part of a family, I just knew one day he would be and I understood why Maryann had taken a liking toward him. Who didn’t find that type of man sexy? There was nothing more attractive than the unattainable bad boy who exuded charisma.

The bouncer lifted the red velvet rope and escorted us into the pulsating night club. I remember the song playing as I stepped foot onto the colorful dance floor that lit up as the patrons danced the night away, ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ by the Bee Gees. It was one of my favorites and I wanted to dance so badly but Maryann had other plans, taking my hand as she dragged me across the dance floor to the bar where Val stood. He was surrounded by a bunch of guys, some I knew and others were a mystery. A delicious mystery.

“Order us a couple of Long Island Iced Teas and I’ll be right back,” she shouted over the music.

I sat down at the bar and ordered the drinks, glancing across the bar as she worked her way into the circle and straight to Val. The bartender placed the two drinks in front of me and I waited five minutes before I pulled the little paper umbrella from the glass and lifted the straw to my lips.

I averted my eyes back to the other end of the bar and noticed Maryann and Val had disappeared from the crowd.

“Those things are lethal,” a voice said from behind me, forcing me to spin around on the bar stool and stare at the most handsome man I ever laid eyes on.

The first thing I noticed was his clothes. He wasn’t dressed like the other men. His charcoal gray suit looked as if it was tailor made for him. He opted to wear a black turtleneck under the suit, no button down, collar popping shirt for the handsome stranger before me. He did however engage in the fad of gold chains. My eyes zeroed in on the crucifix dangling from the thick, gold rope chain hanging around his neck. I lifted my eyes to his face and was greeted by a smile I’d never forget.

His eyes drifted toward the two drinks that sat in front of me to the empty stool beside me.

“May I?”

“Sure,” I said, twirling back around to face the bar as he slipped onto the stool and signaled for the bartender.

He ordered a Martini, dry with extra olives as I toyed with the paper umbrella and brought my drink to my lips for another sip. The song changed, Tavares filtered the nightclub with their hit, ‘More Than a Woman’.

“What’s your name, beautiful?” He asked, casually draping an arm over the back of my stool.

“Grace,” I said, mesmerized by the way he stared so intently at me.

“Grace,” he repeated, testing the name on his tongue, grinning once he decided he liked the way it sounded.

“And who are you?” I stammered, taking another sip, hoping to calm my nerves. This man had the power to undo me with a simple glance.

“Me? I’m the man who’s going to marry you one day,” he said pointedly.

I nearly spat my drink out.

“That’s pretty presumptuous don’t you think?” Or cocky depending on who you ask, I added silently.

He grinned at me as he lifted his hand and ran his index finger down my cheek.

“Watch and see, Gracie,” he promised, dropping his hand but keeping his gaze locked on me. “The name is Victor, Victor Pastore.”

It is so easy to forget those first blissful moments when you meet the person you’re meant to spend the rest of your life with. Instead, we harbor the resentment life has brought upon us and lose touch of the magic that brought two unsuspecting strangers together.

Sitting across from the man I love for the final time I wonder how I ever let myself become so jaded by the trials and tribulations we stumbled upon in our years together. Why did I let the heartache trump the happiness? Why couldn’t I hang on to all the times he made me smile, all the times I looked into his eyes and knew I was his one and only. Why wasn’t the love we created enough to outweigh the torment of the mob?
