Naughty Bits - Part III - Bound to Please - by Joey W. Hill

Naughty Bits Part III Bound to PleaseNaughty Bits Part III Bound to Please by Joey W. Hill

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An emotional & sensual journey of a woman who thought she lost everything.

Joey W. Hill has recently become my favorite BDSM writer. I am thoroughly enjoying this series.
It will be bittersweet for me when the last book comes out in July. Ms. Hill, in book one started us on a journey with Madison when she leaves the life she had in the big city to come run her sisters erotic store "Naughty Bits" after her sister passes away from an illness that Madison didn't even know she was suffering from until days before her death.

When I first decided to read this series I thought it was going to be a campy fun sort of read. But I was mistaken from the first page of book one I was emotionally invested in these characters. Having sisters of my own I cried every time Madison spoke of her childhood with her sister and of the time she lost being angry with Alice for "butting into her life too much". Madison meets Logan the owner of the hardware store next door, and a sexual dominate. Alice "gave Madison" to Logan according to him and a letter that Alice left her sister. It seems Alice knew her sister would need Logan and he has discovered in book three that he needs her as well.

The way these two characters are growing together through friendship and BDSM scene play is just beautiful to read. Every time I read Ms. Hill's BDSM stories I feel like I am learning more and more about the lifestyle. I am not in it but the idea of it intrigues me, how most people on the outside would think its "abuse" or "degrading to women" when in fact its the exact opposite. Well done Joey W. Hill you have portrayed a controversial lifestyle in a very informative and classy way.

This series has kept me holding my breath waiting for the next one part. I can't wait to see how she ends this wonderful tale of Dominance/submission and love.

The Arrangement 15 - by H.M. Ward

The Arrangement 15: The Ferro Family (The Arrangement, #15)The Arrangement 15: The Ferro Family by H.M. Ward

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I like it didn't, love it - 3.5 stars - Here's why......

I am starting to treat this as a mystery and not a romance anymore. I was a little disappointed that Sean and Avery are still not realizing how much they love each other and need each other. The constant break ups throughout the series have been a little unrealistic for me. I know this is a book and all but really if you break up with someone that many times then you can't possible have feels for them. Anyway this installment was good for me because of the ending, I felt that shocking cliffhanger helped to move the story along and should make for a very good part 16. I wasn't that happy with the Trystan part, I like him and I like the friendship that he and Avery were building but I didn't like the intimacy that was implied. Just didn't feel that kind of chemistry with them. I am still not sure if this story needs to keep going, I think resolutions need to occur and either give us an HEA or let Avery and Sean move on separately. I know this is a fan driven series, but I don't know why so many fans want this story to be never ending. Since there are other Ferro books Sean can pop up in those. I like this installment much better than some of the others. But I didn't love it.

ARC Review for "Sweet Perdition" by Cynthia Rayne

Sweet Perdition (Four Horsemen #1)Sweet Perdition by Cynthia Rayne

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Synopsis:
Librarian Elizabeth Williams is drinking her cares away at Perdition, a notorious biker bar in her hometown of Hell, TX. She meets Ryker, a member of the Four Horsemen MC and they start a fun, sexual fling. Ryker finds himself falling for Elizabeth, but an outlaw has no business with a “good girl”. Hell, he’s not even sure he’d be worthy of one. Meanwhile, Elizabeth is being stalked by her ex and Carl’s behavior is becoming more and more erratic. Can Ryker protect Elizabeth without losing his heart?
My Review: 4 and half stars - wish it was a little longer.

ARC received from the author for an honest review.

Very good start to a new MC series. The book begins with Ryker noticing Elizabeth, who is sitting at the bar that his MC the Four Horsemen own. She’s wearing an ugly pink dress, he takes her sad face as an opportunity to get into her pants. He starts to talk to her in his charming biker way. He instantly starts to refer to her as Pinky, even after he learns her name. That was really cute and he uses it affectionately throughout the book.
Right off I get a very alpha vibe from Ryker so I immediately fell in love with him. Elizabeth tries to not be attracted to him, but how can she help it. Ryker is a hot biker and all, simply irresistible.
I like the way the story plays out, Ryker takes Elizabeth home and she thinks its a one night stand but Ryker has other ideas. He wants to keep her in is bed for much longer than one night. He doesn’t know why, but he refuses to let her go. Elizabeth’s ex who married her best friend suddenly starts calling her acting creepy. Ryker is going to protect her at all costs. But he claims her, but yet refuses to admit he wants to commit. I liked Elizabeth from the start, she was hurt, but she pulled herself back up and moved on. And when she needed to be tough with Ryker she is and when she needed to defend herself she did. The background characters were well established as well. Shepard, the MC VP and Cowboy were intriguing. Ryker’s mom Eddie was a trip, dishing out advice to Ryker and Elizabeth.
The sex was hot hot hot, Ryker is panty dropping gorgeous.
There was an excerpt from the next booking Hot in Hades which is Cowboy’s book , I am already all over that one. The excerpt had me wanting more, more, more. I can’t wait to continue this series.

ARC Review - Broken Pieces The Riverdale Series Book Two by Janine Infante Bosco

Broken Pieces (The Riverdale Series Book Two)Broken Pieces by Janine Infante Bosco

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ARC - FROM AUTHOR FOR HONEST REVIEW

 photo 6f3de853-149e-4302-b2ec-0c28b508e967.jpg

This is part two of The Riverdale Series, I really loved first book Pieces and could not wait to see what happened with these amazing characters.

Broken Pieces concentrates on the relationship between Nick Foti and Samantha Lanza. Sam and Nick had a moment years ago and then Nick left without explanation. Sam was devastated but went on with her life.

Now Nick is back and he has realized he wants to pick up where they left off. But Sam has other ideas, at first. Nick is a true alpha male, with a kind heart. Sam keeps pushing him away and for awhile I was like what the heck is her problem! Then we find out a secret she's held that lets us understand why she feels like she can't give Nick a chance.
Events unfold in the Lanza clan and Samantha realizes she needs Nick more than ever but will she allow him in long enough for her to realize that they are meant to be?

The story flows really well, I believe it was very true to the characters established in book one. Once again I felt like I was part of the group. I laughed at some parts, and cried at others. Sam made me mad a few times but then the author made me understand her broken heart.

There is a nice HEA and a few surprises as well as a very well written lead in to the conclusion Fitting the Pieces.

Highly recommend the series, it a really AMAZING read.

Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it's been a dream.
Her passion for writing didn't start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn't long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa's brain and The Love Series was born.
