Taint by S.L. Jennings
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
First - the cover is great love it that's what drew me to the book.
Second - "Justice Drake" really? Fantastic name for a male character.
In the first chapter Justice has a real alpha male, arrogant bastard thing going on that intrigued me.
But by the second chapter he started to become a little wishy washy.
I like that the book was in the male character POV but sometimes the musings to himself were a little cheesy for a guy to say. So when he starts talking about the color of the sunset with way too many adjective for a guy just didn't sit well with me. But I read on because he still intrigued me.
I also felt that his devotion and attraction to Ally happened a little too quick could have waited a few more days before he wanted to fall at her feet. Again I read on, still curious to see where the author was going with the whole story.
By the middle of the book I was really starting to get into it and was rooting for Justice to get the girl.
The sex scenes were hot and well written. The classes he gave to the housewives was also well written, the lesson on oral sex was hysterical.
When I was 25% in was thinking this would be a 3 star review, but I hung in and by 50% I was really liking it especially the friendship that grew between Justice and Ally before anything sexual happened. That was a lot of fun to read.
The twist at the end was definitely an attention grabber.
For me it started off slow but then ended with a twist and a nice HEA.
I would recommend it.

Devil's Game - By Joanna Wylde Coming June 3rd - ARC Review
Devil's Game by Joanna Wylde
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I was lucky enough to receive a Netgalley copy of Devil's Game, when I got the email I literally screamed and jumped up and down, my husband thought I lost my mind. Then knowing me he said “You got a new book didn’t you?” I grabbed it and started reading it immediately.
Joanna Wylde is truly an extraordinary writer and definitely my favorite.
I was excited about Devil's Game but unsure how she would be able to pull it off. How do you get us to love a guy who started off as a kidnapper although a gorgeous kidnapper? Somehow she managed to retell events from Reapers Legacy from two other POVs and actually not completely retell a story we already knew. She just picked it up and filled in the missing pieces from Hunter and Em’s perspective of the kidnapping and it worked so well. I never felt confused or like she missed anything that we would have known from Reapers Legacy.
As I read the prologue I laughed out loud at some parts and was sad at the more emotional parts. I was nice to get a glimpse of Picnic and his wife and the girls when they were a whole family. We also find out where Liam came from which helps to understand who he is now. From chapter one I said ok she got me I love Liam, then no wait I hate Liam, nope now I love him again.
It was a fun, sexy roller coaster ride of emotions throughout the book. I also doubted how she would get Picnic to actually give Liam a chance and somehow she did it without making it silly or not true to the character of Picnic that we already know as a hard ass especially when it comes to his girls. But don’t for a second think he makes it easy for Liam and neither does Em.
What can I say about Em she has to be the most kickass heroine I have ever read and I love her she is my favorite of the entire series. My favorite heroine of all time. Not once was she a whining poor me kind of female character. She does some things to Liam that just make me fall off my chair she is such a tough chic.
Now I will not so patiently (lol) wait for Picnic’s story because yes Joanna makes us love him even more in Devils Game. Between his love of his club and his love for his daughters I can’t get enough of him.
The heart to hearts he has with Em and her sister just made me melt. Even though he’s a big ole man whore we love him and I think he needs a good woman to put him in his place. His book promises to be a lot of fun to read.
Devil's Game is a fantastic addition to an already amazing series the attention to the detail into the MC world and the character development makes it a top notch read.

Real - Katy Evans
Real by Katy Evans
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
My Review:
I really liked Remy and Brooke's story. I have read a lot about Katy Evans and the buzz on this series. From chapter one I was hooked on Remy and fell totally in love. He was hot hot hot....
I do have to say that at about 30% I was getting a little bored the dragging on of their sexual attraction was falling flat for me because I didn't understand why he was doing it. I felt the author took a little to long to help me understand why he was taking things so slow and kept refusing Brooke. I figured there was something happening with him and was surprised when it was finally revealed but I did almost give up I felt the author could have brought us to that revelation two or even three chapters sooner. But once that happened I got back into the story and enjoyed it the rest of the way through. Brooke's actions at one point annoyed me. It was all well written and made for a very entertaining read. I understand there is a book Remy is his POV and I am looking forward to reading that one I always like to get the guys POV.

Dungeon Games (Masters and Mercenaries 6.5) by Lexie Blake
Dungeon Games by Lexi Blake
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I love everything about this series.
For me each one is better than the next.
I love the intrigue, I love the drama, I love the love stories. I love the BDSM elements which are very well written. I love how the other characters in the series show up.
Each couple has an individual story. Each couple comes together in their own unique way overcoming their own issues to heal together.
Lexie Blake is one of my favorite authors and for me she always does a great job of pulling me into a story from chapter one. Her books I can never put down. I enjoy the mystery in this series as much as the hot sex scenes and there are plenty of those in every one.
In this novella we meet Derek Brighton and Karina Mills again, there was a hint in the previous book of the sexual tension between these two. It carries over nicely into this novella. Karina is a tough as nails PI chick with a heart of gold and a few skeletons in her closet. She's not really looking for a permanent Dom but finds one in Derek Brighton and neither realize they are perfect for each other. When her life is threatened Derek is insistent that he is the only one who can protect her. Their love evolves as they "pretend" to be in a D/s relationship for the case they are both working on. Its clear right off that their feelings are deeper than just working together. Both of them have preconceived notions of what the other is really like as person until they get to know the real people they are. Highly recommend this book and this series.

The Proposition #4 H.M. Ward - Loved this installment! :)
The Proposition 4: The Ferro Family by H.M. Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
So the previous installment wasn't good for me I mean I like it but I wasn't crazy for it. This one however did a complete turn around for me.
I got answers to some of my questions from the previous installment and I really felt the emotion of the characters and what they really mean to each other. Not to mention the sex scenes were hot and well written. Waiting patiently for the conclusion of this series but I am not sure where Holly will go with this to end it.

Whisper To Me by Christina Lee - New Adult Romance out May 20, 2014
Whisper to Me by Christina Lee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was a steamy New Adult romance that had me holding my breath every time Rachel and Kai were in the same room.
My Review:
Rachel has been at college trying to run away from the aftermath of a terrible car accident that left her unable to do the simplest tasks. With the help of her best friends Dakota and Kai and her parents she was able to recover from her injuries and from the break up with her boyfriend in the middle of her recovery.
She felt that people in town treated her differently “The girl with the brain injury” and just had to get away. Leaving behind her best friend Dakota and her brother Kai who is secretly head over heels in love with her.
Kai didn’t realize this until she was recovering from her accident and he is desperately afraid to lose her as friend so he suffers in silence. He does his own running away to Amsterdam only to find himself back in town and Rachel back for the summer to help her mom with her business.
Its evident right away that Kai and Rachel can’t keep their desire for each other at bay and they finally give in to temptation and start a steamy secret fling over the summer. Giving each other what they think the other needs, to get lost in passion. But throughout it all Kai’s love grows stronger and Rachel discovers what she didn't realize had been there all along.
Being part of how these two lost souls come together was magical. Lines like “I am yours, I have always been yours” that Kai says to himself just melted my heart. His pure love for her from a distance for years just really got to me. Without a kiss or any other physical contact he feel in love with her as a person. So when they come together and release the sexual tension it was bittersweet for him since it was always more and he thought it wasn't for her. At times I wanted to slap sense into both of them, but I thought the author did a great job of keeping my interest in this great couple. When I received the ARC from Netgalley and saw it was part of a series I was disappointed and thinking I would be lost. But this is individual to Kai and Rachel, though there are other couples in the background that I am now curious to know their stories of how they got together. This is the first book of Christina Lee’s I have read I look forward to reading more. Nice HEA and no cliffhangers, though I do wonder what Shane and Dakota’s story is, I will be looking for it.

The Wedding Contract by H.M. Ward - A Ferro Family Novel
The Wedding Contract by H.M. Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Sky is a twenty something business owner who is always trying to prove herself to her parents especially her judgmental mother. She finally has some success as a photographer when in walks Nick Ferro to wreak havoc on her life. Nick begins to steal her clients and sabotage her at every turn. When they both get hired to shoot the same wedding a week of drama and chaos unfold. Sky needs this shoot to go well so she can save her studio and her pride.
I am definitely an H.M. Ward fan and have read several of her books. I took a shot and requested an ARC for this book and was chosen by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Ms. Ward has said on her Facebook page that this book is different from her other Ferro Family books. It’s not all hot sex and crazy mystery around every corner, this one is in a class by itself for sure.
Sky and Nick’s story is sweet and endearing it comes together really nicely. I found Sky to be an exceptional heroine and thought she gave Nick as good as she got. Going back at him and letting him know that just because he was a sexy, beautiful guy she wasn't going to take his attempt to steal her business laying down. There were funny moments involving a locked hotel room and a jump out a window and another involving a shower curtain dress that I could not stop smiling about. I will leave you to read the book to find out further about those bits of entertainment. Sky and her friend Sophie’s relationship is sweet and fun to read. The way Sky handles her mother is also a hoot.
This is a great addition to The Ferro Family series of books and I wouldn't mind hearing more about Nick and Sky in the future.

Unrestrained - by Joey W. Hill
Unrestrained by Joey W. Hill
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
If you have not read a BDSM romance yet but you are curious this is a perfect first one to read.
I felt like Joey W. Hill was giving us a step by step guide to BDSM D/s lifestyle by allowing us to take this journey with Athena as she learns her submissive side after the death of her husband Roy who she played the Domme to his submissive.
After his death Athena feels lost and unsure where she belongs in the D/s world. Until she meets Dale who helps her to find her submissive nature and learn to love herself and her desires. Athena has a very strong personality and I found her to be an excellent heroine. She is a beautiful business woman who deals with her husbands death and the grief she feels with southern grace.
When she meets Dale he just captures her heart and soul from the first moment she sees him even if she doesn't realize it at first. Athena's need to control but by doing things to make everyone else but herself happy stops her from being able to live comfortably with her submissive tenancies. Dale is there with a firm hand and controlled voice to help her in this new life. He is an accomplish dominant as well as a Master Chief Retired Navy SEAL. All of his experience is just what Athena needs to put her on the path to moving on from her past and her Domme lifestyle with her husband to a new world as Dale's submissive.
I have read the other books in the Knights of the Boardroom series and loved them. We first met Dale in Willing Sacrifice as Max's SEAL buddy. I didn't realize I would like him so much. Though Dale's character appeared in Willing Sacrifice this booking can be read as stand alone I do recommend the other books. Joey W. Hill's writing in this genre is just so full and genuine. I can't put these books down.
The way Ms. Hill portrays Dale as he teaches Athena to accept her submissive side and learn how to live again in a whole new way through D/s is just a beautiful journey for both of them. I loved being a part of it.
