ARC Review: Seal's Promise: Bad Boys of Team 3 by Sharon Hamilton

SEAL's Promise: Bad Boys of Team 3 (SEAL Brotherhood, #8)SEAL's Promise: Bad Boys of Team 3 by Sharon Hamilton

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*Audiobook Review*

Special Operator T.J. Talbot makes a promise to his friend, a fellow SEAL. He promises to look after his wife and baby. T.J. was brought up in the foster care system and almost ruined his chance at becoming a SEAL. He never thought life would allow him to ever have a happily ever after. He is forever watching on as his friends find true love and walk down the aisle. So how is he going to pull off this assignment fate has chosen to give him, especially when the woman he is supposed to take care of wants no part of his help.
Shannon cherishes the baby she is carrying especially when the baby’s father is killed, and now the baby is all she has left of her only true love. She is at all not prepared for the attention she receives from the community. Definitely not from T.J. Talbot, she is focused solely on preparing for her baby’s birth and raising her child without a father.

However, when Shannon and the baby become endangered T.J. is the man by her side and he is determined to claim the family, he was always meant to have.

This was an emotional story that kept me interested throughout. TJ is a hot Navy SEAL whose best friend from childhood Frankie is killed in action. Before he dies, he asks TJ to take care of his wife Shannon and their soon to be born baby. Of course, TJ’s intention is to honor his friend’s wishes, but Shannon does not make it easy for him. She is determined to go at life with her baby alone now that her husband is gone.
TJ has many issues from his past that he needs to move on from before he can have his happily ever after. Even with all his own issues he will not let anything stop him from fulfilling his best friends wishes, but falling in love with Shannon and wanting the family that should have been Frankie’s was never his intention.
There are many tears of sadness in this story, but also tears of joy. I love a book that really gets me feeling for the characters.

This story is about a man who decides it's time he become a better man. It’s about second chances and allowing wounds to heal.

You do not have to read the other books in the series, each one can be read as stand-alone.
