Being a female professional sportscaster is not an easy task for Delilah she is constantly trying to prove herself to be taken seriously as a sports journalist. So when Brody Easton drops his towel during her locker room interview her reaction is anything but friendly to the cocky football player. Her mind wants to throttle him, but her body has other ideas. He’s just messing with her like he does to all the female reporters. It’s no secret that Brody thinks women don’t belong in the men’s locker room. Delilah plans to prove him wrong and challenge the Super Bowl MVP to take her seriously.

Brody Easton is a player on and off the field. He has no interest in keeping a woman for more than a roll in the hay, never leaving his heart on the table. Not again, he won’t risk it. Then he meets Delilah and he can’t help but want to play with her in more ways than one. Surprisingly he realizes quickly he wants to get to know her to trust her. Can he risk his heart again?

Brody surprised me immediately, he had secrets reasons why he never let a woman get close. When we find out about his past and the girl who broke his heart I was crushed for him and all he had been through. Delilah originally sees him as just an arrogant jock but she discovers he is so much more. He visits children’s hospitals quietly in his spare time, he takes care of an elderly woman who turns out was a very big part of his childhood. There is so much more to Brody Easton and you will definitely want to dig deep into his soul.

Vi Keeland’s books are all unique in their stories, each set of characters with their own realistic story to tell. Her writing always has me wondering what will be around the corner for the couple. I like Delilah as a female character she was strong willed and independent. But for me Brody and all his layers were the star of this romance novel.

He was so sexy, sweet and kind all rolled into a muscled football player. I definitely recommend this one if you are looking for a read that will make your laugh, cry and swoon.
