Saved by Him by Michelle Horst
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Sophia only knows how to have sex. Her whole life has been about training her to be a sex slave. She is conditioned to only pleasure others. When she meets Adam and she thinks she is unable to please him her world starts to fall apart from there.
Adam realizes he wants Sophia more than he should, he is supposed to save her and protect her. That’s his job. For Adam— Sophia is different than any of the other slaves he has saved. Over the year with his partner River Sinclair they have help many slaves to be free but what he has seen and endured in his life has left scars. Sophia makes him want more than the life he has been living. Adam wants nothing more than to protect Sophia from the darkness she has suffered.
This book is written parallel to Saved by Her which was Jack and River’s story. You can read either book as standalone but I recommend reading both in order. Not for any reason except that they are really good books. Sophia was raised to be trained as sex slave. Her story starts off dark as she is used and abused by her masters. It is all she knows. So when she meets Adam and he requires nothing sexual from her she is very confused and scared that she has disappointed her master. Adam turns out to be her savior. As they start to get to know each other when Adam frees Sophia from her captors it is clear that they saved each other.
Sophia and Adam’s love story is sweet yet their passion for each other is strong. I thought the author did a great job of keeping with the previous story because some of the scenes do overlap. I could not find any discrepancies. This couple is perfect for each other there was no cliffhanger and a fantastic HEA.
I am really looking forward to the next books in the series from this author.
